Who Should See a Chiropractor?
Who Should See a Chiropractor?

Chiropractic is the only profession that is concerned with the detection and correction of spinal subluxations. As previously discussed in other articles, subluxations may result from mental, physical or chemical stresses.
Stress Factors
When functioning correctly, your body is constantly and appropriately adapting to stress which can arise from a variety of factors such as job, pollution, genes, poor posture, or any one of the many parts that make up day to day life.
The extent to which stress is an integral part of all our lives, for better and worse, is amazing. However, there are limits to what we can and cannot cope with. When that line is crossed, the body’s adaptive processes start to break down and spinal subluxations may occur or, if already present, they will add to stress and detract from your adaptive capacity.
Reducing Subluxations
Whether you are a mother, a newborn baby, a small child on the verge of a new growth spurt, a student preparing for exams, or an accountant who has just survived another tax year, your spine is susceptible to subluxation. That being the case, we should all see a Chiropractor to screen for and reduce spinal subluxations.
The sooner a subluxation is detected, the faster and more completely it will be corrected, ensuring the proper development, function and adaptation of the body. This is why it is especially important for children to be checked regularly because they are still developing. If negative patterns form during growth, their potential throughout life may be severely compromised.
The Path to Wellness
Chiropractic is not only a method of care to ensure the health of your spine, but is also a way of life and a path to wellness. A wellness lifestyle encompasses many factors for those who are interested in being their best and reaching their optimum performance levels. It is a philosophy of health that respects and works with natural laws. Chiropractic allows you to journey through life in a state of well-being, far removed from one requiring drugs and surgery.
A recent survey of over 2800 long-term Chiropractic patients discovered that people who received regular chiropractic care reported ongoing improvement in health, wellness and quality of life. Those patients were not receiving care because they were sick, but because they wanted to be their best. The longer they received chiropractic care the higher their level of health. Knowing these results makes us question what limits there are to optimizing our physical, mental and spiritual wellness when the effects of spinal subluxations are minimized.
If we look at health as a journey, and not a destination, there is always something we can do or improve in ourselves along the way. Chiropractic is ideal for those who choose to embark on this life journey toward being their best.
